LIVE STREAM: Adults who read youth literature

Forever young! Youth literature is popular and is now more multifaceted and progressive than it has been in a long time. However, who said that only young people can read youth literature? There are many adults who devour them with great interest.

Using several of the nominated books for this year’s Nordic Council Children and Young People’s Literature Prize as its basis, the conversation will look at what attracts adults to read youth literature.

Participants:

Agnes Lindholm, book blogger who has been blogging under “Agnes bokblogg” since 2014.  Agnes offers her tips on Instagram under the name  @agnes_lindholm and on radio P4 Sörmland each week.  She is one of the initiators of the Unga läsare community, which organises book circles and author meetings for those interested in youth literature.

Christian Lilja is an upper secondary school student and reading enthusiast. He has participated in several reading campaigns in recent years and reads a lot of youth literature himself.

Moderator: Johanna Lundin is a cultural writer, moderator, and literature critic who, over the past decade, has run a blog with an emphasis on youth literature.
