We administer four cultural funding programs, which are divided into six different funding options, run a cultural center and library in the heart of Helsinki, and arrange events. Welcome to our site!
As the summer approaches and we gradually put the pandemic behind us, we once again look outside and dream about new travels all around the Nordic Region!
To inspire you on your journey, we’re bringing you a raft of events which tell stories of courageous people who have pushed themselves to their physical and mental limits and embarked on demanding journeys to destinations far beyond the well-trodden roads and paths. On their journeys, these people have come up against the vulnerability of nature, leading them to look at how it and its resources can be treated sustainably. For some, these projects have also turned into personal journeys and, through their experiences of nature and the mental and health-promoting effect of outdoor life, they have evolved as individuals.
Join us for some exciting lectures from Greenland’s fjords, Iceland’s elongated coastline and Sweden’s diverse landscape.
Are you interested in learning to speak one of the Nordic languages? Come to our popular language café to brush up your Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish or Icelandic!
