Maria Ackrén holds a PhD in politics from Åbo Akademi University. She has lived in Nuuk, Greenland for ten years, where she works as a lecturer at Ilisimatusarfik, the University of Greenland.

 

What’s it like working at the university there? How does university life and work differ from that of Finland? What are the students like? Are there any special challenges? What’s the latest in the field of Greenlandic research? What does Greenland’s future look like from the perspective of university education?
