Nordic Culture Point is looking for a network researcher to do a qualitative study on the effects of Network funding during autumn 2018
Network funding is a part of the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture, that strengthens artistic and cultural cooperation in the Nordic region and the Baltic states. The programme focuses on increasing the exchange of knowledge, contacts, presence and interest in Nordic and Baltic art and culture. The Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme consists of three forms of funding: mobility, network and residence funding.
Network funding enables periods for cooperation, exchange of ideas and knowledge between professional artists and cultural workers in the Nordic region and/or the Baltic countries. Network funding supports short-term (up to one year) and long-term (up to three year) networks. All networks must have participants from at least three Nordic and/or Baltic countries. Read more about network funding here.
We wish to engage a researcher for a period of three months (September – December 2018) to conduct a qualitative study on a small selection of supported networks. The aim is to examine long-term effects in order to explore what kind of impact the funding has on the work of the individual partners as well as on their work field. We are also interested in how the funding corresponds to the current day terms for professional artists and culture workers in the Baltic and Nordic region.
The study will include interviewing project partners in different countries and will therefore require some travelling in the Nordic and Baltic region. The work place will for the rest of the time be our office at Suomenlinna island in Helsinki, Finland. If you do not live in Helsinki, we can offer you accommodation in our guest apartment for the duration of the stay. The language of the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture is English and therefore the study will be conducted in English.
If you would like to apply for the assignment please contact advisor Sofie Ilsøe Sjöblom email@example.com or +358 50 409 23 46, who will provide you additional information about the programme and the study. You will then be asked to submit a research proposal (maximum two pages) and a CV, no later than May 25th 2018.
