#Metoo – mitä sitten tapahtui?
4.2.2019 13.00–16.00
Kaisaniemenkatu 9, Helsinki, Suomi
Kieli: Englanti

#Metoo-kampanja iskeytyi pommin lailla pohjoismaiseen kulttuurikenttään vuoden 2017 lopussa.
Miten muutos ja toimintasuunnitelmat ovat edenneet? Onko hiljaisuuden kulttuuri kadonnut? Tervetuloa seminaariin, joka toimii samalla lähtölaukauksena pohjoismaiselle seminaarikiertueelle. Kiertueen tavoitteena on valottaa seksuaalisen häirinnän ongelmia ja vaihtaa pohjoismaisia kokemuksia.
Tarkempi ohjelma englanniksi:
Just over a year ago the #metoo movement spread across the world. Women from different industries shared their own experiences of sexual harassment and came together in joint calls for action. And the cultural sector was no exception. The testimonies and the question of sexual harassment gained a lot of attention in the media and created a public debate. The movement stopped the culture of silence and helped in getting the question of sexual harassment on the political agenda. But what happened after that and what did we learn?
There is still a need for a continuous debate and awareness of sexual harassment in the Nordics. Therefore, the Nordic Council of Ministers is carrying out a series of seminars in all the Nordic countries and self-governing regions in order to raise the question, prevent and combat sexual assault and harassment and to share initiatives and best practice.
How did the #metoo movement look in the cultural sector in the Nordics, which similarities and differences can be identified? What actions has been taken to tackle the problem and how can we learn from each other?
Front figure for the seminars is the Swedish author, journalist and TV &Radio host and Producer Alexandra Pascalidou.
