Research on the effects of Network funding commenced
What happens after a network has received Network Funding? Nordic Culture Point has assigned the Norwegian researchers Donatella De Paoli and Lene Foss for a period of three months in autumn 2018 to conduct a qualitative study on networks that have received funding from Nordic Culture Point. The research project has now been initiated and the researchers are conducting interviews of the grantees in the Nordic and the Baltic countries.
Nordic Culture Point arranged an open call in the spring 2018 and De Paoli and Foss were selected for the assignment due to their strong background within the field that draws from different disciplines; Prof. Lene Foss is a specialist in network research at the Arctic university of Norway (UiT) and Ass. Prof. Donatella De Paoli is an expert in cultural management research at Norwegian Business School (BI). De Paoli and Foss convinced the jury with their extensive research plan that showed a genuine interest in network research as well the required competence for the project. The two researchers will ensure a broad perspective on the different aspects involved in networks within the field of arts and culture.
Network funding is a part of the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture that aims to strengthen artistic and cultural cooperation in the Nordic region and the Baltic states. The programme focuses on increasing the exchange of knowledge, contacts and interest in Nordic and Baltic art and culture.
The results of the research will be published in January 2019.
