Now open! Additional round of funding to support Ukrainian artists and cultural creators

In the autumn of 2022, Nordic Culture Point has the opportunity to allocate additional funding for residency activities to support Ukraine’s cultural scene. The war in Ukraine has meant that increasing numbers of Ukrainian artists and cultural creators need a residency placement outside of the country’s borders.

The special initiative is part of the residency funding module of the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme. The Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture strengthens artistic and cultural co-operation in the Nordic and Baltic countries.

The purpose of the initiative is to enable a safe and secure space for Ukrainian artists and cultural creators to explore their fields and to promote their professional networks in the Nordic and Baltic region and beyond. The funding will also help to facilitate dialogue between Ukrainians and those living in the Nordic and Baltic countries.

The deadline for applications is 31 October.

In connection with the initiative, a webinar titled “Additional funding for Artist Residencies to support Ukrainian artists” will be held on 11 October at 14:00 (Finnish time). Our funding programme advisor will go through the details of the application round and there will be the opportunity to ask questions.

The seminar will be held online via Teams. Please sign up HERE.
