Taina Hakala, Pii Anttonen and Miia Vistilä will perform a public reading of comics. They’ll read their own comics, Hakala’s comic-in-progress about Helene Schjerfbeck, Vistilä’s comic about social media and Anttonen’s comic about living as a nonbinary transperson in a gender obsessed world.
Together they also perform feminist comics by Liv Strömqvist and other nordic artists.
Panels from the comics are reflected on the screen while texts are read aloud. This shared experience brings stories alive in a new way. Music and sound created live by Pii “Miss Fusion” Anttonen.
The show will have content in Finnish, Swedish and English.
