She works as an assistant professor at Åbo Akademi University. She is also an active researcher in the multinational research project ECOTIP (https://ecotip-arctic.eu). The focus of the research project is the marine ecosystem, and how they’re affected by climate change and pollution, among other things. The effects of the changes on society and the economy, more specifically on the Greenlandic fishing industry, are also studied.
The event is organised in collaboration with UPPIK – the Finland-Greenland friendship association. The purpose of the association is to promote relations between Greenland and Finland and strive to strengthen and develop them.

The presentation will be in English, while questions and points for discussion can be raised in Finnish and Swedish.
