Demos supports seven projects

""

The very first round of applications for Demos is now closed. The round gathered a total amount of 47 applications for €964,400. The expert group decided to grant support for 7 projects for €106,100. The individual grant amounts ranged from €7,000 to €20,000.

The expert group was pleased to note the great interest in the program. The number of applications meant fierce competition for the support, and after thorough discussion the very best projects were found. The quality of the round was very high and we look forward to opening the next round in 2023.

Some examples of supported projects are:

Arktiska samband by Översättarcentrum

“Arkistka samband” wants to connect literature written in Arctic minority languages by bringing together authors and translators and by exploring difficulties and opportunities for literature to reach beyond the sphere of colonial languages.

B2B – From the Baltic to the Barents Sea by Baltic Circle

B2B – From the Baltic to the Barents Sea: Communities, Ecologies and the “green” transition aims to create a Nordic network that collaborates in arranging workshops, events, performances and a symposium intersecting through the Baltic Circle Festival (FI), the Barents Spektakel Festival (NO), BAC Baltic Art Center (SE) and CAA – Contemporary Art Archipelago (FI).

Ønskebarn by Norsk forening for fertilitet og fruktbarhet

The project will create a meeting place, so that experiences and ideas can be exchanged on how to strengthen the field of work with involuntarily childless persons. The goal is for this to be the start of a broader collaboration between the cooperating organizations.

In collaboration with: Simpukka rf, Tilvera, Landsforeningen for Ufrivillig barnløse
