The International Writers’ and Translators’ House is a multifunctional international writer’s and translator’s centre, which promotes the development of literature and encourages cross-cultural dialogue.
We apply for this particular grant to support the literary process of Ukraine by offering a safe place for the professional writers and literary translators from Ukraine for creative writing, translating, international co-operation and expression of free word.

Travel from Riga, Latvia to Võru, Estonia to run public workshops in “KANAL” gallery within exhibition “Let’s Find a Way”.

Objective is to strengthen knowledge exchange, synergy and visibility of Nordic-Baltic experimental music scenes. It will be done by creating a promotional space where Nordic-Baltic audiences intersect. Music sector was hibernating during covid-19. Experimental music is particularly vulnerable to market swings. Hence the need to tell audiences about the regional scenes and motivate cross-border “cultural tourism”; to boost scenes by creating a joint Nordic-Baltic knowledge and promotional space.

The main objective of the CRISS-CROSS network is to facilitate knowledge transfer and exchange of experience among researchers, professional artists, university teachers and students specialising in performance art. Through such a collaboration, Baltic and Nordic partnership will be strengthened at the level of culture, research and education, ensuring the visibility of Baltic and Nordic performance art and employing the democratic potential of action-based art.

Development of a body of work, based on artists Evita Goze grandfather’s letters from Sillamäe in the 1940s, when he was forced to work there at the uranium plant. Goze aims to create a portrait of a town, which would also act as a map of the artist’s own history, both imagined and inherited.

“Unknown visitors” is an exhibition project that will take place in gallery “Hoib” in Tallinn, Estonia.
Installation will discover subjects circling around two botanists and will explore conversation between nature, industrial production and shipments.

The goal of going and working in the archives in Bergen is necessary to keep track of Wittgenstein’s semantic strategies. I am interested in the materials that were written during Wittgenstein’s stay in Norway, it is natural that I am particularly interested in working at WAB in Bergen.

Nine Worlds will be a virtual exhibition inspired by Norse mythology where selected Nordic-Baltic artists will explore complex states of entanglement and multitude found in ancient architecture of Norse cosmology.

“Baltic Current: a think tank for sustainable performing arts in Baltics” is a joint initiative of theatre Gertrudes ielas teatris (Riga), Kauno Miesto Kamerinis Teatras (Kaunas City Chamber Theatre, Kaunas), performing arts platform Sõltumatu Tantsu Lava (Tallinn) and Goethe Institute (DE) created to provide a platform for mutual learning, sharing of expertise and support to young performing artists from Baltics.

Baltic Applied Theatre Network will unite Baltic culture organisations which work with applied theatre methods and with community development in order to share their practices and knowledge, to learn from each other and partners from other European countries. This network will strengthen Baltic collaboration, build strong, resilient and cohesive communities regardless of their cultural and language background, which we believe is highly important especially in the current political situation.

Baltic Circus Grass-root network is a capacity-building project that unites the professional Baltic circus community including leading circus arts institutions, umbrella organisations, and professional circus artists with the aim to provide opportunities for growth, boost collaboration and improve the professional capacity of operating artists.

BIAN will connect artists, creators and researchers working with immersive audio technologies in Baltic states. Immersive sound is the future format for music, cinema, virtual reality, video games, museums and other experiences. Network will collaborate with relevant organizations through a series of joint activities to share knowledge and provide the wider public with access to free resources for learning and exploring these new exciting tools and technologies.

The grant is applied for the promotion of the literary co-operation within Nordic – Baltic region by supporting more authors and translators from the region by giving them a common space and time for creative writing.

For many years RIXC has worked on the edges of art, science and digital technologies, actively developing collaborations in Baltic-Nordic region, including the thriving Nordic/Baltic transdisciplinary SOTAN network. RIXC is intending to launch 3 Art&Science residencies in the time period of 2022-2023. By opening up residencies and exhibition opportunities for artists, working with science and digital technologies, RIXC aims to support new knowledge creation and innovative artistic productions.

I will be participating in Baltic artist group show “My Bitter Sweet Frankenstein Body” at Titanik gallery, Turku, Finland organized by Kogo gallery, Tartu, Estonia with my ink paintings on paper.

venue in the project

The purpose of our travel is to perform our art-piece “Cheerleader” in the public spaces of city of Helsinki, Finland. The event will be a part of the performance festival “Seven of Seven”. It will be created in collaboration with the local community and with the support from the gallery “Myymälä2”.

I am working with a new performance, and I am going to perform it at the UNM festival, Reykjavík, August 15-21, 2022. This performance is also a collaboration with other artist/s (from the residency before).
