15 short-term and six long-term networks were granted network support

This year’s final application round for network funding has been completed. This round, support was granted to both short-term networks (up to one year) and long-term networks (up to three years). A total of 21 different network support were granted and 743 643 euro was allocated among them.
Network funding enables periods for cooperation, exchange of ideas and knowledge between professional artists and cultural workers in the Nordic region and/or the Baltic countries. That is: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden and the Åland Islands. Among the projects granted are, for example, the long-term network “Lifelong Dance Practice: project 45+”. The project aims to create a network to discover new ideas, opportunities and identify ways of how to continue developing the artistic qualities and artistic existence of dancers and choreographers after age of 45.
Among the short-term networks that have been granted support is “Nordiskt nätverk för utforskning och utveckling av teckenspråksgestaltning”. The project wants to work towards a common Nordic basis for the use of sign language performance as a tool for making art and culture accessible to the group of deaf and hearing impaired.

The Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture strengthens artistic and cultural cooperation in the Nordic region and the Baltic states. The programme focuses on increasing the exchange of knowledge, contacts, presence and interest in Nordic and Baltic art and culture. The Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme comprises three forms of funding: mobility, network and residence funding.
